We did not begin with a service model. We began by listening.

Five years inside a community showed us what changes when people feel believed, understood and cared for close to home.

2019Today

01 The foundation

Plasma of Hope made trust visible.

Our sister charity grew from lived experience of sickle cell disease into a trusted network spanning patients, families, NHS teams and communities across the West Midlands.

Thousandsof people supported
80+new donors from one hospital event
5 yearsof advocacy and community delivery

That work taught us that the gap is often not compassion. It is continuity: the support that helps someone recover, manage a long-term condition and remain connected once they are back through their own front door.

We have seen what happens when care reaches people too late—or never feels designed for them in the first place. MJN Care is our answer: clinically ambitious, careful in how it grows, and rooted in the people it exists to serve.

02 A social purpose, protected

Community benefit is not a promise in the margin. It is written into our structure.

Why we are a CIC

MJN Care is a Community Interest Company, limited by shares and protected by an asset lock.

  • Surplus is reinvested into community health or gifted to Plasma of Hope
  • No profit is distributed to shareholders
  • Our social purpose remains accountable and visible
